The first customer asked for a feature at 3am. We shipped it at 4am.

A short story about how ONI handled a real customer request overnight — without us.

The email

At 3:12 AM, an email landed in the Onneta support inbox. A reseller in Istanbul wanted to tag invoices by project-category for end-of-year filing. Small feature, real need.

The cycle

ONI's autonomous loop was running on Onneta itself that night. It read the email, classified it as a feature request with clear scope, studied the existing invoice schema, wrote a migration adding the category column, wrote a filter on the invoices list, wrote the UI change on the invoice-create form, committed, deployed.

The reply

At 4:08 AM — 56 minutes after the email landed — ONI replied with a draft it flagged for our review: "Done. The new category field is live on your /u/handle/invoices page. Here's a quick screenshot. Let me know if the category list needs editing."

What I did

I woke up, read ONI's draft, changed one word, clicked send.

The point

The customer emailed back: "wait, you built this overnight?"

No. ONI did. I just reviewed the reply.

That's the product.
